East North Carolina is home to many of the most beautiful places in the world, some of which have taken on such mysterious endings. The town of Chapel Hill, known as the Southern Part of Heaven, is a picturesque spot with a modern twist and one of my favourite places on earth.
There are more that make this a great place to start a family, such as the beautiful mountains and beautiful beaches. It is also located in the heart of North Carolina, making it ideal for those looking for proximity to a larger city.
Chapel Hill is also home to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which happens to be a state-sponsored university. UNC is nationally recognized as a bike-friendly university on a silver standard, and its Orange County community has been nationally recognized as a bike-friendly community.
Although Duke and UNC are two of the nation's enduring powerhouses, North Carolina's colleges and universities have also had great success in intercollegiate sports. Chapel Hill - Carrboro Public Schools is the number one North Carolina school for college-bound seniors with an average SAT score of 4.0. The top spot is held by Durham, a South Carolina public school district whose SAT scores are above average.
Numerous local museums and historic sites include the North Carolina Museum of Natural History, Carrboro Historical Society and UNC - Chapel Hill Art Museum.
The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, which reopened in 2000, was the state's first public museum. The collection spans more than 2,000 years and is housed in a historic building on the campus of UNC - Chapel Hill's College of Arts and Sciences. Be sure to visit the North Carolina Collection Gallery, which offers a variety of exhibitions that change year by year, as well as a wide range of special events and exhibits. History is known as the nation's first public university building, dating back to 1793, and as one of America's oldest public universities.
Local attractions include the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, UNC - Chapel Hill Art Museum and the University of South Carolina. Other outdoor events include the annual "Discovery Day" at the NC State Fair, which is fun for families.

The Coker Arboretum on the campus of the University of North Carolina is home to more than 1,000 flowering trees and relaxing gardens. Just off campus is the Chapel Hill Botanical Garden, home to the Carolina Botanic Garden and UNC Botanical Garden.
The East Village is located in New York, USA, but Carrboro is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as well as the capital of the city and home to the University of North Carolina. The area has been committed to its natural beauty and history, and its writers, artists, musicians and writers have been committed to it as a destination for the art, music, art and culture of its inhabitants.
As a coastal state, North Carolina was strongly influenced by the art and culture of the United States, especially the music and art of America. More recently, a new generation of artists, writers, musicians, artists and musicians has developed.
The triangle of North Carolina consists of the cities of Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Durham at its three points. Many of these recent transplants have been clustered around the Raleigh-Durham area and other parts of the state. Chapel Hill's mural is probably one of the most famous of its kind in North Carolina and perhaps even worldwide. The Eye Cafe brings international coffee to Carrboro, as well as a variety of food and drinks from local restaurants and bars.
The atmosphere is friendly and reserved, and the small town atmosphere is a great place for a relaxing Sunday morning, which fortunately is also filled with lots of places to enjoy a drink, a good meal or just a bit of fun. They have a large and interesting wine list, but so does the beer, which is mostly North Carolina.
Hailed by Bon Appetit magazine as "America's greatest small town," Chapel Hill is home to some of the best restaurants and beverage offerings in North Carolina. Bon Appétit has named it one of the "finest" small towns in America and is home to award-winning restaurants, certified organic distilleries and a variety of craft breweries.
